The Circuit Clerks Office is providing this information to both parents and drivers under the age of 18 years. We hope that the information provided gives a better understanding of the law. This law was enacted by the legislators in Springfield and enforced by the local Police Agencies.

Effective 1-1-08  Pursuant to Public Act 95-310    Defendants under the age of 18, charged with moving violations may not receive a disposition of “Court Supervision” unless they personally appear in court with their parent or guardian.   The parent or guardian must execute a written consent before the judge.
